Imagine a 20hour plus flight (inclusive of waiting hours) from Amsterdam,Netherlands to Harare, Zimbabwe,(capital) then a 3 and half hour drive to Gweru,Zimbabwe (my home town). I’m finally home and can truly appreciate the beauty of the motherland.I was greeted with my first proper safari-sun-set, it was beyond beautiful- and it reminded me of all the other beautiful things my country has to offer, despite the negative side that is always shown in media. If ever you get the chance to visit Africa, definitely pick Zimbabwe, not only to see one of the seven wonders of the world, The Victoria Falls, but also to just generally have a feel of the diversity in culture, cuisine and wildlife.
